ORAN, Mo. -- The Scott County Sheriff's Department and Oran Police Department are investigating two burglaries that happened overnight Tuesday in Oran.
An Oran business was broken into either Tuesday night or early Wednesday, and a safe with an undetermined amount of money, a computer and a cooler were reported stolen, according to a news release from the Scott County Sheriff's Department.
While sheriff's deputies and Oran police officers were investigating the burglary, the sheriff's office received another report of a building behind a home that had also been burgled. Several unnamed items were missing from the building, according to the release.
Sheriff Rick Walter said in the release that officers were able to quickly identify and arrest two suspects. Most of the stolen property has been recovered, according to the release.
Names of the suspects were being withheld until formal charges are filed, according to the release.
