Tuesday evening accident sends Scott City resident to hospital

SCOTT COUNTY, Mo. - A Scott City woman was injured in a single-vehicle accident Tuesday evening off County Road 311.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at around 10:45 p.m. four miles south of Scott City. Justin E. Ledermann, 25, of Scott City was driving his 2001 Ford Escort southbound on County Road 311 when he failed to negotiate a curve and ran off the roadway. The Escort sustained extensive damage.

While Ledermann was not injured, the passenger in the car, Christina M. Colburn, 29, of Scott City, was taken by ambulance to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, where she was treated for moderate injuries.
