ST. LOUIS — The trolley in the Delmar Loop area of St. Louis is on target to begin operation this spring.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported some details, including the fare amount, still are being worked out. Officials associated with the trolley gave an update at a Citizens for Modern Transit event Thursday.
The electric trolley will run over a 2.2-mile route, sharing Delmar Boulevard with cars and pulling out of traffic at designated stops. The original cost of the project was estimated at $43 million, but it rose to $51 million in part because of street paving and landscaping costs.
