TRAVEL CENTER NAS NEW OWNER, NEW NAME

CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Trio Travel Agency has a new owner and new name.

Jerry Reppert, of Reppert Hospitality Inc., Anna, Ill., announced the purchase of the travel center, located at 2029 Independence, this week.

"The name of the center has been changed to Reppert Hospitality Travel Center," said Joe Flood of Cape Girardeau, and general manager of the Hospitality company, headquartered in Anna. "We're new in name and ownership, but have the same people here, and will offer the same type of service to clients."

Diane Fisher, who has been with the firm since it opened in 1986, is manager of the travel center. Becky Shea is a travel consultant.

Trio Center opened on the west side of Plaza Galeria Shopping square in June of 1986.

Reppert has several business interests in Southern Illinois, including newspapers at Anna and Cairo and rental stores in a number of Southern Illinois communities. He also has interests in a printing company in Cape Girardeau.

The Hospitality firm is involved in hotels, restaurants and travel centers.

"This is our first travel center," said Flood.
