JACKSON -- The Regional Arthritis Center at St. Francis will sponsor an instructor training course in April for people interested in leading PACE (People with Arthritis Can Exercise) classes throughout the area.
The PACE instructor training course will be held April 13 and 14 at the St. Francis Information Center at Jackson. The course tuition, about $150, is underwritten by the Regional Arthritis Center, so there is no cost to qualified people.
The course is designed to help people with arthritis cope with their condition through various forms of exercise. The PACE concept was developed by the Arthritis Foundation.
Individuals interested in participating in the PACT instructor training course must complete an application form and meet admission criteria which includes a background in life sciences, experience working with people with arthritis and an interest in teaching.
Deadline for registering for the instructor training course is March 10.
