Two-year-old Timothy likes tractors, firetrucks, anything with wheels that has doors that open up, allowing him to make discoveries about the way things work. Timothy's dad, unable to work because of a knee injury, would love for Timothy to receive a Leap Pad or learning toy that would encourage his son's desire to learn, but thought it was too much to ask. After two knee surgeries that left him with a limp and requiring a cane, Tim's dad had the opportunity to train for a different vocation. Because the couple was faced with another child on the way, Tim's dad is currently seeking employment instead. Although Tim's mom works, her salary doesn't stretch far enough to cover outstanding medical bills and provisions for a family of three.
Mr. N. will probably not see anyone at Christmas. He has few family members that live close by. His Social Security check is his only income. Living with hypertension and severe arthritis, Mr. N. could use a little cheering up from anyone willing to show their support. He shops at Wal-Mart and Schnucks. Liquid soap, an extra large sweat shirt or flannel shirt, socks, slipper socks with nonskid tread or gift certificates at the stores he shops at would be most appreciated by this man.
