When stage 2 of the 2009 Tour of Missouri is in Cape Girardeau on Sept. 8, parking will be restricted along the route and several downtown streets will be closed to traffic. The racers will enter the city on Cape Rock Drive, turn south on Main Street and finish after looping around downtown. The current plan for each street is:n East Cape Rock Drive and Main Street to Broadway: Rolling closure 15 minutes ahead of riders. No parking will be allowed after noon.
* Main Street from Broadway to William Street: Closed at 6 a.m. No parking after 6 a.m.
* Spanish Street from Broadway to William Street: Closed at 6 a.m. No parking after 6 a.m.
* Water Street: Open to local traffic.
* Broadway: Open until 15 minutes before riders arrive. No parking east of Lorimier Street after 6 a.m.
* Independence Street: Eastbound traffic detoured at Lorimier Street. Open to westbound traffic from Water Street until 15 minutes before riders arrive. No parking east of Lorimier Street after 6 a.m.
* William Street: Open until 15 minutes before riders arrive. No parking east of Lorimier Street after 6 a.m.
* Lorimier Street: Open until 15 minutes before riders arrive. No parking from Broadway to William Street after 6 a.m.
