SPANISH LAKE, Mo. -- A suburban St. Louis toddler was found unharmed about an hour Sunday after a thief drove off in the car he was in.

The 19-month-old boy was in the backseat of the 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier. The mother told police she had left the car idling while she dropped something off for a friend.

About an hour later, the child was found in his car seat near a street in St. Louis city. A resident of an apartment heard the child and alerted police.

The child suffered no injuries. Police are still looking for the suspect and car.
