Josh M. Miller of Cape Girardeau, Shelly N. Estes of Scott City and Laura N. Underwood of Jackson have received President's scholarships to attend Southeast Missouri State University for the 1995-96 academic year.
The scholarship is awarded to high school seniors who rank at least in the upper 20 percent of their high school class and score 25 on the ACT or 1,030 on the SAT. The scholarships also are awarded to students who are class valedictorians or salutatorians and complete the core curriculum.
The scholarship is worth $1,000 per academic year and is renewable for four years if a 3.5 grade-point average is maintained.
Miller is the son of Lynn and Becki Miller and will graduate this spring from Cape Girardeau Central High School. He plans to major in music.
Estes is the daughter of Lloyd and Donna Estes and will graduate this spring from Scott City High School. She plans to major in accounting.
Underwood is the daughter of Larry and Mary Underwood and will graduate this spring from Jackson High School. She plans to major in elementary education.
