Three men were arrested on felony domestic assault charges over the weekend.

On Sunday, Thomas E. Williams, 56, of Cape Girardeau was arrested for allegedly threatening to shoot his wife, 19-year-old son and 23-year-old stepson while at his home.

According to the probable-cause statement, Williams yelled at, spit on and shoved his wife. He then charged toward his son and stepson, punching both of them repeatedly. Williams threatened to get his shotgun, and the victims fled the home as he went to his room. No weapon was reported displayed.

On Saturday, Jimmy D. Reed Jr., 21, of Jackson was arrested for allegedly abusing his girlfriend when he came home intoxicated.

Reed became enraged when his girlfriend told him to leave, according to the probable-cause statement. He slapped her and shoved her as she was attempting to call the police. His girlfriend used her cell phone to call the police department.

On Saturday, Jeremy L. Taylor, 31, of Cape Girardeau was arrested for allegedly attempting to harm his wife by pushing her face to the floor.

According to the probable-cause statement, Taylor grabbed his wife by the back of her neck while she was on her knees. He shoved her face to the floor and into some toys. She received several scratches from the incident.

All three are being held on a $7,500 bond. They each face up to seven years in prison if convicted.
