Three Benton, Mo., men were arrested in connection to several thousand dollars' worth of copper wire being stolen from a Scott County farmer.

Mathew Bristow, 26, Jeffrey Bunch Jr., 23, and Michael Gunter, 20, were arrested after a short car chase Thursday night, according to a Scott County Sheriff's Department news release. The three men are allegedly linked to the theft of copper wires from an irrigation center pivot, according to the release.

Bristow is charged with felony stealing, while Bunch is charged with felony stealing, resisting arrest, leaving the scene of an accident and property damage. Gunter is charged with felony stealing.

Bristow's bond is set at $10,000, while Bunch and Gunter's are set at $25,000 and $15,000 respectively.
