EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. -- Three East Prairie residents were injured after the vehicle they were riding in struck a house Wednesday in Mississippi County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, motorist Cheryl L. Gordon, 19, was traveling on County Road 533 near East Prairie when her vehicle ran off the left side of the road and struck a house at 5:50 p.m.

Gordon sustained serious injuries. One passenger, Gloria Johnson, 49, received moderate injuries, and another, Michael P. Shands, 30, sustained minor injuries. They were all transported by ambulance to Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.
