Two traffic accidents over the weekend injured three people in Cape Girardeau and Perry counties, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

An accident Friday afternoon injured two in a pickup truck in Perry County. The driver, Cody Hager, 16, of Frohna, Mo., suffered minor injuries and was treated at Perry County Memorial Hospital. A passenger, Lance Roth, 14, of Uniontown, Mo., sought dental treatment.

The accident occurred on Perry County Road 414. Hager's pickup truck topped a hill and struck a farm trailer being hauled by a pickup truck driven by Kirk Luckey, 44, of Frohna, the patrol said. Luckey wasn't injured.

An accident Saturday afternoon on Cape Girardeau County Road 222, three miles south of Gordonville, injured Ashley Welker, 17, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., the patrol said.

Welker was taken to Saint Francis Medical Center.

The accident occurred as she failed to negotiate a curve. The vehicle ran off the road and overturned, the patrol said.
