OLD APPLETON -- Three Cape Girardeau residents sustained minor to moderate injuries in a one-car accident Wednesday night.
The crash happened at 9:50 p.m. on Highway KK, about three miles west of Old Appleton near Interstate 55.
Donald Rolfing, 24, was driving eastbound when his vehicle ran off the road and struck a tree, the Missouri Highway Patrol said.
He was treated for minor injuries and released at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
A passenger, Matthew Rolfing, 4, had moderate injuries, the patrol said. He also was treated and released at the hospital.
The patrol said another passenger, Kenneth Gerney, 23, had moderate injuries, but he wasn't treated at the hospital.
None of the occupants of the 1965 Chevrolet were wearing seat belts, the patrol said.
