MARBLE HILL -- Three Dexter residents were injured when the truck in which they were passengers overturned on Route Y Thursday afternoon.

William Wideman, 27, suffered serious injuries. Two other passengers -- Erica Miller and Robin Stroder, both 19, suffered minor injuries. All three were transported to St. Francis Medical Center.

The accident occurred when the 1972 GMC in which they were riding ran off the right side of southbound Route Y. The driver of the vehicle, Roland Chorn, 23, of Dexter, over-corrected and the vehicle ran off the left side of the roadway and turned over onto its top, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred at 4 p.m., 12 miles west of Marble Hill.
