THREE HURT IN I-55 SMASH

BENTON -- A woman and two boys suffered moderate injuries Friday afternoon when their vehicle was struck in the median of Interstate 55.

Connie Ray, 48, Dominic Taylor, 10, and Daniel Crabtree, 12, all of Corning, Ark., were transported to Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol, Ray's vehicle was parked on the outside shoulder of the north lane of road when it turned left from the shoulder to cross the highway. Ray's vehicle was struck by a car driven by Franklin Paris, 34, of Brownville, Tenn.
