Benton, Mo. -- Three people were in custody Wednesday in Scott County on charges stemming from a search warrant deputies executed Tuesday at a home near Benton, Sheriff Rick Walter reported.
Kalub Cork, 25, and Carla Hays, 25, both of Benton, face two counts each of felony drug distribution, one count each of felony drug possession and one count each of felony child endangerment, Walter reported in a news release.
Owen Watkins, 20, of Bell City, Mo., faces one count of felony drug distribution and one count of misdemeanor use of drug paraphernalia in connection with the case, the release stated.
According to the news release, deputies searched the residence and found one 2 1/2-foot-tall marijuana plant, several items indicating the manufacture of methamphetamine and several pieces of drug paraphernalia.
Two children ages 5 and 7 were in the residence at the time, the release stated.
Bond for the three suspects was set at $50,000.
