The cause of the fire was not known. The Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office said it started just before 1 a.m. in this town 60 miles south of Buffalo.

The three injured occupants were taken to WCA Hospital in Jamestown. One of them was later flown by helicopter to a Buffalo hospital. Their conditions were not available.

The names of the victims were not immediately released, pending notification of relatives.
