Drivers can expect delays on Lexington Avenue from Carolina Lane to West Cape Rock Drive as city crews diamond grind the road surface to provide a smoother ride for motorists. Workers will be present from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day beginning Monday, the city announced. Flaggers will be posted to move traffic around the work zone, allowing both lanes of traffic to pass. The project should be completed by May 4.
Concrete repairs on Interstate 55 will reduce traffic to one lane next week, the Missouri Department of Transportation announced. Beginning at 6:30 a.m. Monday, crews will be present in the section from Benton to Scott City, working in both the northbound and southbound lanes. Both lanes of traffic are expected to reopen by 5 p.m. Friday. MoDOT urges motorists to use caution in the area.
Route U in Bollinger County will be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday between Highway 34 and County Road 452 while crews replace a pipe under the roadway, the Missouri Department of Transportation announced. The work zone will be posted with signs.
