Police investigated several accidents during the weekend.

A Cape Girardeau teen-ager wasinjured in a one-vehicle accident Saturday afternoon in Stoddard County on Route U, two miles west of Powe.

Chad Calder, 16, of Cape Girardeau was injured when the pickup truck he was driving ran off the roadway and down a steep embankment. The truck overturned and Calder was ejected.

He was taken to Doctors Hospital in Poplar Bluff. No further information was available as to his injuries.

Three people were injured in an accident Saturday morning on Interstate 55 near the Diversion Channel Bridge in Scott City.

According to the Scott City Police Department, a tractor-trailer unit ran into the rear of a van. Three people were treated at St. Francis Medical Center and released.

One man was injured in an accident Saturday morning in Pemiscot County on Interstate 55, three miles south of Hayti. According to an accident report filed by the Missouri Highway Patrol, the injured man was Lacreda Lewis, 53, of Portageville. Lewis was a passenger in a car driven by Cardelia A. McCoin of Clarkton. The car traveled out of control and was struck in the side by a tractor- trailer unit driven by Connie K. Broady of Vincennes, Ind. The car then ran into a guardrail, came back across the roadway and struck the tractor-trailer again. The car then traveled off the right side of the roadway and came to rest in a ditch.
