High speed chase ends in arrest

Cape Girardeau police had some excitement this morning when they chased a Camaro from Broadway and onto Interstate 55, reaching speeds over 100 mph.

The man driving the car, which had Illinois plates, was Tasered and arrested. The chase started after an officer attempted to pull him over for "exhibition driving," a police term for showing off. Think squealing tires and peeling out.

Charleston man happy for pardon

President George Bush's round of pardons this week hits close to home — a Charleston, Mo., farmer was among 14 pardoned by the president for federal crimes.

Leslie Owen Collier was convicted in federal court 12 years ago of killing bald eagles, though the killings were accidental. Collier was pardoned Monday, and now he's talking to media about the relief that comes with the pardon.

Three killed in St. Louis bridge crash

Three people were killed in a crash on a Mississippi River bridge at St. Louis early this morning. The crash shut down traffic for seven hours.
