Cape Girardeau woman kills would-be rapist

A Cape Girardeau woman had a scary encounter this morning, and she took justice into her own hands.

A man who alleged raped the woman last Saturday broke into her home this morning. County prosecutor Morley Swingle said the man had intentions of raping her again, but the woman fought back, shooting him in the chest with a shotgun. He later died.

Poplar Bluff man charged with shooting teen

A Poplar Bluff, Mo., man was charged Thursday with shooting a teenager who was riding in the same car. Police say the shooting happened accidentally when the shooter pointed a gun out his window to shoot at another car.
