Authorities are seeking a third suspect in connection with a recent child-abuse case.

The Cape Girardeau County prosecuting attorney's office filed a warrant for Alicia Janea Minor, 26, of Cape Girardeau.

Minor, who is charged with two counts of felony child abuse, remained at large Thursday.

Minor; Sherron Melissa Minor, 32, of Cape Girardeau; and a 14-year-old boy are accused of beating 14- and 11-year-old girls Sunday at a residence in the 1600 block of Main Street.

According to a probable-cause statement filed in the case, the suspects punched the victims in the stomach and face.

Sherron Minor was arrested Monday, and the juvenile boy was detained, Sgt. Adam Glueck said.
