If a price check question arises at West Park Mall's newest store when it opens Wednesday, employees will join in to tell the consumer that "Everything's A $1.00."

"That's the name of the store," said Mike Hensley, store manager. "Here, Everything's A $1.00."

The new operation will open in the Venture corridor, in the 3,300-square-foot space that formerly housed Chrisman Art Gallery.

"We're anticipating a great reception here in Cape Girardeau," said Hensley. "We have thousands of items in the store, and everything is a dollar."

The store, which features a variety of items, including jewelry, children's toys and gifts, books, kitchen utensils, cosmetics, and seasonal items, will be one of more than 200 that are located throughout the U.S.

"The store has a constant turn-around in merchandise," said Hensley. "You may find something here this week, and something else next week.

"We feel we'll have a high traffic building," said Hensley. "Any where you find a `Everything's A $1.00' store, you'll find plenty of traffic."

The store will operate with 26 full- and part-time employees.

Howard Laird, regional vice president of the company from Milwaukee, will be in Cape Girardeau for the Wednesday opening. Also on hand for the opening will be Don Gore, district manager from St. Louis.
