There will be beer

I am a Scott City Park Board member, and I am a little concerned about the headline to the story in Wednesday's paper. I have had several people approach me and say they heard we aren't selling beer at the Summerfest this year. I know that if they would read the rest of the story they would see that we are selling beer but not under the city's name. As I am sure you know, the headlines are what catches people's eye. The only thing different with the beer this year is that we are not allowing people to bring in coolers for any of the events. We work really hard to make this event a success for the city and our vendors, and we don't need anything that will deter visitors. -- Sue Crader
