Jackson police reported four thefts in the city, and they say they think the crimes were related. Lt. Rodney Barnes said the reports were vehicle break-ins, and that the crimes were likely committed by the same individual or individuals. "It's that time of year again when you start seeing a spike in those types of crimes," he said. The thefts occurred in the 600 block of West Main Street, the 1000 block of South Hope Street, the 200 block of Morgan Street and the 1000 block of Clark Street. Barnes said some of the items were taken from unlocked cars. He said people should remember to lock their vehicles and keep valuable items out of plain sight.
