At 2:20 p.m. Friday, a window was broken in at The Bar at 117 Themis St. in Cape Girardeau.

The Cape Girardeau Police Department responded to a call where a window pane was broken on the Spanish Street side of the building, toward the rear.

Shortly after, police arrested Joshua Precher, 19, of Cape Girardeau. He has been released on a summons for property damage and possession of a controlled substance.

The suspect threw a bucket through a window, according to police. He was arrested shortly afterward in a downtown store.

Construction workers had been working on site and assisted police in identifying the subject, Cpl. Darin Hickey of the Cape Girardeau Police Department said.

Formerly a catering business, the corner site was transformed into The Bar for the film production of "Gone Girl." It was prominently used in scenes durings several weeks of filming in fall 2013.

The Bar is owned by Sonjay Fonn and, according to filed business license plans, The Bar is listed to offer catering and be fully open by Dec. 31.

The window was repaired by Saturday.
