A collector of artists' originals and limited-edition dolls has turned her hobby into a business.
"That's My Baby," featuring hand-sculptured, hand-painted porcelain and porcelain-like vinyl dolls, opened recently at 2015 Allen Drive.
"As a collector I often had to go out of town or even out of state to find small, limited-edition dolls," said Jean Ann Burke, owner of the business. "We'll be specializing in these kinds of dolls," she said
Burke said the dolls run in height from about nine inches to almost life size, 28 to 32 inches.
Among special lines of dolls available are Phyllis Parkins dolls, Maryse Nicole Originals, Artist Collectibles, Jan Nahrgang and Robin Woods.
"That's My Baby" will hold its grand opening Friday through December.
"We'll have a good selection of dolls on hand and we can special order," she said. "During our grand opening we'll also be providing special discounts."
