A Texas man was killed in a one-vehicle accident Tuesday morning in Cape Girardeau.
Bobby Lee Warrick, 60, of Houston was killed when his car ran off the road, vaulted across Ramsey Creek and struck an embankment. It wasn't known if Warrick used a seat belt, but both air bags had been inflated, Cape Girardeau Police said.
The accident occurred at 10:20 Tuesday on Interstate 55 near the Bloomfield Road overpass.
Warrick was taken to St. Francis Medical Center where he died Tuesday afternoon. It was the third fatality in the city this year.
Cape Girardeau County Coroner John Carpenter said the death was due to chest and abdominal injuries.
