Teens injured in New Year's Day crash

Two teenage girls were injured early New Year's Day in a one vehicle accident off County Road 233 near Allenville.

Breanna M. Maine, 15, of Cape Girardeau was driving a 2000 Oldsmobile northbound on County Road 233, one mile north of Allenville, at 12:06 a.m. Sunday when the vehicle traveled off the west side of the roadway and overturned, ejecting passenger Tiffany L. Kerber, 17, of Cape Girardeau, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Kerber sustained serious injuries and was taken via ambulance to Saint Francis Medical Center. Maine sustained minor injuries and was taken privately to Saint Francis.
