JACKSON -- Andrea Stanley of Jackson has been named city queen of Jackson in the Miss Junior America competition.

In addition to the title, she received a crown, a sash and a certificate. She also qualified to advance to the summer finals in Lyle, Ill.

Stanley is the daughter of David and Karen Stanley. She attends Maple Avenue United Methodist Church, where she participates as an acolyte.
