POPLARBLUFF, Mo. -- With his alleged victim hospitalized in St. Louis, a Cape Girardeau man is in the Butler County jail charged with shooting him.
Butler County Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Wade Pierce charged Robert Quinten Woods, 17, with the felonies of first-degree assault, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon.
Pierce recommended at Woods' bond be set at $50,000 cash.
Woods is charged in connection with an incident early Sunday morning in the 700 block of Lexington Avenue that left Marcus Darnell McFarland with a gunshot wound.
According to Poplar Bluff Police Detective Jeff Rolland, McFarland, 20, of the 200 block of Missouri Avenue was shot once in the buttocks near his tailbone.
