She is a first-year teacher at Scott City. She also taught for one year at the Sikeston Career and Technology Center.

Conaway enjoys helping students learn to use both the familiar and cutting-edge business equipment and applications. The mixed instructional materials help to prepare students for future careers, she said.

"The Internet is used frequently for assignments and research, and we use HTML along with other software programs to design Web pages," she said. "We are preparing our students for college and/or the working world."

Conaway is a member of several professional and business organizations. She is married and lives in Cape Girardeau. In her free time, she enjoys volleyball, softball, jogging and traveling.
