A victim's description of a tattoo that says "Droopy" led to the arrest of a robbery suspect on Wednesday.
Dameon W. Oakley, 22, of Cape Girardeau was charged with a felony count of robbery and is being held on $100,000 bond.
The incident reportedly occurred around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday in the alley behind 1424 William St. According to the Cape Girardeau police probable-cause statement, Oakley, armed with a handgun, demanded whatever was in the victim's pockets and fled with $94 and a few cigarettes.
Police Sgt. Barry Hovis said the victim gave a thorough description of the suspect and that officers identified Oakley when the victim mentioned teardrop tattoos under his eyes and the "Droopy" tattoo.
