Taste of Cape will benefit Southeast theater, dance department

Ten Cape Girardeau businesses will participate in the "Taste of Cape" restaurant hop April 21 to benefit Southeast Missouri State University's department of theatre and dance.

The restaurant hop, from 5 to 8 p.m., includes Andy's Frozen Custard, Bel Air Grill, Cup 'n Cork, Imo's Pizza, Jimmy John's, Marco's Pizza, Minglewood Brewery, My Daddy's Cheesecake, Primo Vino and Mississippi Mutts.

Tickets are $10, and each eatery will serve its signature item. Participants can go to any or all of the businesses during the three-hour span. Theatre and dance students will assist the patrons at each restaurant.

The Theatre and Dance Society, host of the event, will use proceeds to fund the annual Senior Showcase on May 8 through 9 and its summer Theatre and Dance Academy beginning June 1.

Tickets may be purchased through April 14 by calling 651-2149 or the night of the event at any participating restaurants.
