Christmas decorations and animated displays at Cape Girardeau's Target store will be donated to needy families and community service agencies.
This is the eighth year Target stores nationwide have donated their decorated display trees, animated holiday characters and electronic holiday products. Each of the retailer's 850 stores will make the donations Dec. 23 at 10 a.m.
In Cape Girardeau decorated trees will be given to 16 needy families, chosen by the Cape Girardeau's Caring Communities organization. Animated decorations will be donated to a variety of community service agencies, including East Missouri Action Agency, Lutheran Children and Family Services, and the Cape Girardeau 4-H Council.
