Cape Girardeau police officers responding to a call of shots fired on the city's south side found two men target practice shooting.
Officers responded Tuesday afternoon to Pike Lodge, 2827 S. Sprigg St., off-campus housing for a Southeast Missouri State University fraternity.
Two men on the property had been target practicing with shotguns, police spokesman Jason Selzer said.
"You can't fire a gun off in the city limits," he said.
The men would likely be issued summonses.
