SUTER REUNION HELD

BENTON -- Descendants of the Winfield Scott Suter family spent June 22-23 in Benton for a reunion at the American Legion hall.

The event was planned by the children of Willis Haynes and Ida Sanders Suter: Marjorie, Hazel, Harold, Hallie, Norman and Janiece.

With the exception of Jeffrey, who died in 1983, all were present, together with 56 family members representing four generations. Descendants of Viola Suter McKennie, Annie Suter Huffman, Minnie Suter Cox, Mahalia Suter Edging, John Suter and Winfield Suter III were present.

A total of 130 people from 14 states including Hawaii attended.

The afternoon was spent with Norman and his wife, Gerry, sharing family history dating back to the Revolutionary War.
