A man police are seeking as a suspect in the attempted robbery of a Cape Girardeau bank is still at large.
Police responded to a call of a robbery at US Bank, 3060 William St., at 12:30 p.m. Thursday. The suspect didn't display a gun, but handed a note to a teller asking for money.
No money was taken in the botched robbery attempt.
Employees said a black man, age 30-35, wearing a blue shirt with white stripes, dark jeans and a white hat came into the business and approached the teller counter.
He left the business on foot.
Witnesses said they saw the suspect getting into a late-model gray or bronze four-door Hyundai Sonata.
