Suspect sought in burglary attempt

Cape Girardeau police are seeking a suspect in an attempted burglary Sunday.

Someone tried to break in to Comfort Care, 1858 Broadway, about 12:30 p.m., according to Cape Girardeau Police Department public information officer Darin Hickey.

An individual in a building directly behind Comfort Care made a call regarding someone using a tool to try to manipulate a lock on the business' door and get into the building, he said. Entry was not made into the business, and nothing was taken, Hickey said.

The suspect was driving an orange two-door vehicle, Hickey said.
