A Cape Girardeau man pleaded guilty to one count of second-degree burglary Monday before Circuit Court Judge Benjamin F. Lewis for stealing miscellaneous high-tech items from Southeast Missouri State University dorm rooms.
Marcus L. Woods, 24, previously faced five counts of second-degree burglary, but four were dropped, according to Jennifer Booth, Woods' attorney, per a plea agreement with the Cape Girardeau County Prosecuting Attorney's office.
Woods is set to be sentenced March 8.
Woods stole items from 15 rooms in Towers South, including televisions, cameras, computers, a cell phone, a gaming system and a voice recorder. The items are valued at more than $2,000.
