Weinstein spokespeople didn't have information immediately available Tuesday on whether the film would have a wide or limited theatrical release, how much of the film shot in Cape Girardeau will be used or if any special prerelease events are being planned in Cape Girardeau.

Scenes for "Killshot" were filmed in Cape Girardeau in January 2006. Since then the release date has been pushed back several times, and talk has circulated about how much, or little, of the Cape Girardeau material will actually appear in the final cut.

"Killshot" stars Diane Lane, Thomas Jane, Mickey Rourke and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. "Jackass" star Johnny Knoxville also filmed scenes in Cape Girardeau, but reports have said Knoxville's character has been cut out of the film. "Killshot" is based on an Elmore Leonard novel based partially in Cape Girardeau.
