STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN JUNIOR MUSIC FESTIVAL

Students from the Southeast Missouri Music academy participated in the second annual Junior Music Festival in February.

The festival was held at Southeast Missouri State University.

Events included piano solo, piano concerto, music theory, piano duet, hymn playing, vocal art song and vocal music theater.

Five students accumulated enough points to earn a Gold Cup trophy. They are Adam Bryant, Allison Bryant, Patty Cheung, Jennifer Kaelin and Emily Scherer. Their teachers are Chadie Fruehwald, Becky Fulgham, Christy Roethemeyer and Jeanne Tjaden. Trophies will be award at the Music Academy's spring recital in May.
