The Cape Girardeau Target store awarded Cindy Casper and Matthew Fisher the Take Charge of Education All-Around Scholarship awards.

The $1,000 awards are based on community and volunteer service, volunteer leadership awards and honors, an essay on volunteer service, an appraisal by their volunteer supervisor or leader and a grade point average of at least 2.0.

Casper attended Holcomb RIII Schools and has volunteered in several community projects including Special Olympics. She was class president from ninth through 12th grades and plans to attend the College of the Ozarks in the fall.

Matthew Fisher attended Notre Dame High School. He has been involved in several community service projects and was president of the senior class. He was also Editor-In-Chief of the school newspaper. He plans to attend Saint Louis University in the fall.
