The scholarship is awarded to high school seniors who graduate in the top 10 percent of their class and who have achieved an ACT score of 28 or SAT score of 1,160. The scholarships also are awarded to class valedictorians or salutatorians who have achieved an ACT score of 25 or SAT score of 1,160.

Bartosik, who will graduate this spring from Cape Girardeau Central High School, plans to major in chemistry at Southeast. She is the daughter of Jerry and Pat Bartosik of Cape Girardeau.
