Students for Progress, an organization which supports riverboat gambling in the city, has announced Thursday that the issue will be debated Wednesday at Southeast Missouri State University.
Two students and a faculty member representing the group will debate a like team representing Students Against Riverboat Gaming.
The debate, sponsored by the Student Activities Council, will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Academic Auditorium.
Jessica Halter of Students for Progress said the university organization registered more than 500 students to vote during a recent drive.
