BLOOMFIELD, Mo. — A Bernie, Mo., man is in custody at the Stoddard County Jail under a cash-only bond of $125,000 following his arrest on drug charges, according to the Dexter Daily Statesman. Police said they are searching for the man's wife, who faces similar charges. Nelson Hickman, 39, was arrested at his residence Friday following an investigation by the Stoddard County Sheriff's Department. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute and possession of a controlled substance. According to Stoddard County Sheriff Carl Hefner, the dual felony charges have also been issued to Hickman's 33-year-old wife, Bobbie J. Hickman, who Hefner said has fled the area.
