State highway commission awards overlay contract

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Pace Construction Co. LLC of St. Louis has been awarded a $2,076,163 contract by the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission for overlays throughout Cape Girardeau, Bollinger and Perry counties. The project includes overlaying routes D, E, B and Highway 177. More than 60 miles of roadway will be improved. Weather permitting, work could begin as early as this spring.
