STATE EASTERN STAR OFFICIAL VISITS CAPE

Bessie Mae Kirkpatrick, the Worthy Grant Matron of the Missouri Eastern Star Grand Chapter, made an inspection of Southeast Missouri district 49 chapters March 5.

A meeting was held at the Masonic Temple in Cape Girardeau.

Kirkpatrick is the chief executive of the 40,000 member Grand Chapter of Missouri. During an official inspection, she gives instruction in the ritual and ceremonies of the order, interpretation of the laws and practices and an explanation of charities and projects sponsored by the organization.

Eastern Star chapters in district 49 include St. Marks 167, Cape Girardeau; Cape Rock 60, Cape Girardeau; Jackson 91; Perryville 46; Oak Ridge 310, Millersville; Victory 431, Marble Hill; Zalma 509; and Whitewater 174.
