JACKSON -- Jeanette Bollinger, a board member of the Jackson School District, has achieved certification in the Missouri School Boards Association's Certified Board Member Program.
The CBM Program established by state association is designed to equip school board members with the knowledge and skills they need to function as effective education leaders in their communities.
School board members achieve certification by completing a series of professional development activities that focus on areas identified as essential to effective school board service. Those areas include board operations, policy-making, goal setting, maintaining positive relationships and others.
The MSBA is a private, not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to help school board members carry out their responsibilities and to advance the improvement of public education in Missouri.
